Thank you so much for being a part of helping people respond and navigate the call to missions on their life.

Each individual’s journey will look different but the goal is the same, for the global glory of Jesus Christ. For some, the journey to the mission field will happen sooner and be smoother than expected but for others it will be more difficult and take longer than you may have imagined. Regardless of how long it takes or where they end up, we believe that God is faithful and his timing and ways are so much greater than our ways.

This is where you as a Global Advocate come in. It is our prayer and desire that as a Global Advocate your passion for the lost around the world and for those being sent will motivate you to come alongside individuals on the missions journey; helping them process through key phases, ask the right questions and perhaps at times even challenge them to keep going.

You as a Global Advocate will be connected to an individual or a couple once they have reviewed and completed most of “phase 1” of the MAP. The intent and design is that each Global Advocate would meet with each individual or couple 4 or 5 times for about 60-90 minutes a meeting to talk through the questions of each phase. Between each official meeting, a phone call, an email or a note of encouragement is highly encouraged.

This Global Advocate Guide is designed to be a supplement to the Missionary Action Plan (MAP), so please familiarize yourself with the MAP and the expectations.

If you have any questions, concerns or recommendations, please do not hesitate to let me know, simply email globalproject@rivervalley.org.

Again, thank you for being such a huge part of getting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.
